This altar cloth is made from lovely dark green silk dupioni, like the evergreens that remind us that life continues through the cold and dark of winter.

I've embroidered it with metallic gold thread for a rich, festive look. Each corner has a cluster of holly leaves, and the center features a beautiful snowflake. I chose a rather solar-looking snowflake, as a reminder that the days will soon be getting longer and winter will eventually give way to spring.

The hem is stitched with tiny ivy leaves, also in the metallic gold thread.
